For the purposes of these regulations, the following shall be deemed to be:
“PROMOTER” - MAD S.r.l., Piazzale Campo della Fiera 18 – 47893 Borgo Maggiore (RSM) – Company Register No. 8144 of 18/02/2019 – COE SM 28129, hereinafter referred to as San Marino Experience
“RECIPIENTS” means all natural persons over the age of 18 (eighteen), excluding
employees and collaborators of the Promoter, including family members, who:
• decide to participate in the competition
• fully accept these regulations.
“FORM” – the form to fill out with your personal information and upload the photograph required to participate in the competition.
Art. 1) DURATION
From July 25, 2025, at 6:00 PM to Sunday, July 27, at 10:30 PM.
Art. 2) PARTICIPANTS
The initiative is open to all contest participants.
Art. 3) ADVERTISEMENT AND DISTRIBUTION OF THE RULES
The competition will be advertised through online and offline communications, as well as on the Promoter's website www.giornatemedioevali.com.
Art. 4) HOW TO PARTICIPATE
Participation in the competition involves taking an original photograph at the dedicated location located at the photo booth in Contrada del Pianello, next to the mountain cable car station, in the historic center of San Marino. Subjects included in the photograph may request availability and wear medieval accessories to make the photograph more original and contextual to the event. The photograph, one per participant, must be uploaded online to the website https://www.giornatemedioevali.com and a specific form must be completed containing the following mandatory fields:
• First Name
• Last Name
• Email
and optional:
• Telephone
Participation in the competition is subject to prior acceptance of these rules and the Privacy Policy of the "Win the History of San Marino" competition. By uploading the photograph online, participants agree to release it for publication on the official website and grant the rights to use it if they win the Prize. Participants will receive confirmation of their uploaded photograph and participation in the competition by email. Art. 5) PRIZE VALUE
The prizes, awarded to the first five winners, consist of:
a private guided tour of the Historic Center for up to five people and a tasting of typical products for the guided tour participants.
Art. 6) PRIZE MONEY
The total value of the prize money is €625.00 (six hundred and twenty-five euros).
Art. 7) PRIZE DRAWING
A jury will select the winners and will be composed of members of the organization, including an expert in artistic photography. The jury will evaluate the photographs received during the competition period by 12:00 noon on August 1, 2025. The jury will select the five winners who will receive the prizes offered by the Promoter. The judging process will take place at the San Marino Experience premises. The winners will be selected based on their originality and consistency with the spirit of the event.
Art. 8) PRIZE COLLECTION
Within 5 (five) days of the jury awarding the prize, the winners will receive notification of their win via email to the email address provided during registration. Winners will be asked to confirm acceptance of the prize at concorso@giornatemedioevali.com, attaching a photocopy of a valid ID, within 14 (fourteen) days of being notified of their win.
The right to claim the prize will be forfeited without confirmation of acceptance. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for failure to deliver the prize notification and/or prize due to winners providing incorrect or inaccurate addresses and/or personal information. Incomprehensible, incomplete, and/or manifestly untrue registration information will be considered invalid for the purposes of awarding the prize.
If the winner fails to claim the prize, the unassigned prize will remain the property of the Promoter. The winner will not be entitled to a cash prize exchange or any other form of compensation.
Art. 9) PRIZE RECEIPT
Prizes must be booked and redeemed by the eligible winners by the end of 2025. Winners must communicate the date on which they intend to redeem their prize by sending an email to concorso@giornatemedioevali.com with at least 14 (fourteen) days' notice prior to the selected date. The date and time of the visit will be agreed upon between the parties.
Art. 10) DECLARATIONS
The Promoter assumes no responsibility for access problems, impediments, malfunctions, or difficulties relating to technical equipment, telephone lines, cables, electronics, software and hardware, transmission and connection, or Internet connection, including (but not limited to) malfunctions in the servers used and/or delays in connection and data transmission that may prevent a Recipient from participating.
Recipients who, in the sole discretion of the Promoter or third parties appointed by the Promoter to manage the Competition, are declared winners using means and tools capable of circumventing randomness, or otherwise deemed suspicious, fraudulent, or in violation of the normal conduct of the initiative, will not be able to enjoy the Prize won.
Art. 11) GENERAL CLAUSES AND ACCEPTANCE OF THE REGULATIONS
Participation in the Competition implies full and unconditional acceptance of all the clauses contained in these Regulations.
Art. 12) INFORMATION ON THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA
The personal data processed in this Competition is carried out in compliance with national laws (Law 171/2018) and European laws on the protection of personal data (EU Regulation 2016/679). Art. 13) COMPETENT COURT AND JURISDICTION
For any dispute, the Court of the Republic of San Marino shall have exclusive jurisdiction, as shall the applicable legal provisions therein.
